Gran Turismo 6 Confirmed

Gran Turismo 5

In an interview with IGN, Kazunori Yamauchi was asked about what might go into DLC and the next game and he replied saying, “Of course we’re working on GT6 already and I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6. Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that’s really the market difference.”

Spec 2.0 was just released last month and with the long development cycle for the Gran Turismo series, I am wondering if they will even have a launch date on current gen hardware. You have to think that if they would put something out and it is something that they can’t do via DLC then this might be a clue that  Polyphony Digital might have their hands on some new hardware. That’s right I’m starting a interweb rumor, pass it along.

What do you Donks think of a new Gran Turismo? Let us know what you think in the comments or on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

An avid gamer for 30+ years, I tend to take a more cynical approach to reviewing games. I am not easily bedazzled by pointless aesthetics in games (i.e. destructible environments, car damage) I try to recognize what a developer was trying to accomplish and whether they failed or succeeded in that attempt. I will never sugar coat a review just to appease the masses, if a game is hot garbage I'll let the Donks know.
